Story and Art: Guillem March
Color Assistant: Tony López
Translation: Dan Christensen

“Karmen” is a fun, dark take on what happens after we die. Karmen is a being sent to take Cata on a journey for as-of-yet unknown reasons after Cata commits suicide. Only, Cata doesn’t know she’s dead and Karmen doesn’t seem to be in a hurry to correct that. The first issue is full of dark humor that makes Karmen feel relatable more than otherworldly. This is the kind of book that will make you think, make you laugh, and then make you think about why you laughed. Guillem March is both the writer and the artist on this story and it is clear to see the passion put into every panel. This is an easy add to my pull list.
